African-American supporter wants McCain to fight!

At a John McCain rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin, broadcast on CNN Thursday, Milwaukee Newsradio 620 radio host James T. Harris told McCain that he’s “taken an ass whoopin'” for supporting him.

The video is from and was broadcast on October 9, 2008.

Video from The Raw Story website.

A lot of Obama supporters have been dismayed lately at all the “anger” they are seeing at recent McCain rallies.  I’ve read silliness on some blogs that the Obama supporters are afraid for Obama’s safety.  I’ve also seen news reports from mostly Obama leaning journalists that McCain is bringing up the issues of Ayers, Wright, and ACORN because he is losing.  DUH!  Barack Obama would do the same if he was 11 points behind in the polls.

I know the economy is the number one issue.  McCain and Palin are addressing the world economic failure as much as Obama and Biden.  It’s just that the newspapers and news channels put the issues of the Ayers, Wright, and ACORN attacks as their lead McCain story while at the same time report on Obama talking about the economy.  Not one of the major news anchors are reporting Obama is trying to dodge his past and that he will not admit to the fact he used these shady people as “stepping stones” for his political career.

The McCain supporters are angry.  They are upset that John McCain has not seemed to want to fight back.  What did McCain say at the end of his Republican Convention acceptance speech?  If you forgot, here it is:

“I’m going to fight for my cause every day as your President.  I’m going to fight to make sure every American has every reason to thank God, as I thank Him: that I’m an American, a proud citizen of the greatest country on earth, and with hard work, strong faith and a little courage, great things are always within our reach.

Fight with me.  Fight with me.

Fight for what’s right for our country.

Fight for the ideals and character of a free people.

Fight for our children’s future.

Fight for justice and opportunity for all.

Stand up to defend our country from its enemies.

Stand up for each other; for beautiful, blessed, bountiful America.

Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight. Nothing is inevitable here. We’re Americans, and we never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history.

Thank you, and God Bless you.”

Yes, John McCain, it is time to take the fight to Obama.  You have one more debate to show your emotion and to show the American people you really care.  Take the fight to Obama about his past, talk about the economy, tell us we have to stop spending money we do not have, yell at us, if you have to, that we need to save more.  Look at the camera and speak directly to us.  Let us know you care.  Show, not only the world, but Barack Obama that you should be our leader for the next four years.

  1. Wow you have to be in line with the same way of thinking as McSame if you actually champion him like this. He is a hot head, so is Palin, their friends are willing to go to such desparate measures as to strike Ir*an just to get support from the idiots who love war and think he’ll be more eager to do it(and he is) and they’re MAD because none of the world leaders will go along with their little twisted plan to get him elected! Perhaps you should put country first and think long and hard about how to support our country and turn it around not further dig a hole for us like McSame/Palin would do so well.

  2. You make a lot of points in your argument that are just not true. For example, you say McCain wants to strike Iran, but what about Obama saying in the last debate he would invade Pakistan? McCain is mad at world leaders because they will not go along with his twisted plan to get elected? Huh? If anyone has a twisted plan, look at the ACORN organization with all the voter fraud. Look at Fannie Mae CEO Jim Johnson who was hired as Obama’s Senior Finance Advisor, but quick that position after it was revealed he had received more than $2 million in home loans at below average market rates from Countrywide Financial. How can Obama fix the economy when he is the second largest recipient of campaign donations from both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? You need to actually do some more educated research.
