A lot of Obama supporters have been dismayed lately at all the “anger” they are seeing at recent McCain rallies. I’ve read silliness on some blogs that the Obama supporters are afraid for Obama’s safety. I’ve also seen news reports from mostly Obama leaning journalists that McCain is bringing up the issues of Ayers, Wright, and ACORN because he is losing. DUH! Barack Obama would do the same if he was 11 points behind in the polls.
I know the economy is the number one issue. McCain and Palin are addressing the world economic failure as much as Obama and Biden. It’s just that the newspapers and news channels put the issues of the Ayers, Wright, and ACORN attacks as their lead McCain story while at the same time report on Obama talking about the economy. Not one of the major news anchors are reporting Obama is trying to dodge his past and that he will not admit to the fact he used these shady people as “stepping stones” for his political career.
The McCain supporters are angry. They are upset that John McCain has not seemed to want to fight back. What did McCain say at the end of his Republican Convention acceptance speech? If you forgot, here it is:
“I’m going to fight for my cause every day as your President. I’m going to fight to make sure every American has every reason to thank God, as I thank Him: that I’m an American, a proud citizen of the greatest country on earth, and with hard work, strong faith and a little courage, great things are always within our reach.
Fight with me. Fight with me.
Fight for what’s right for our country.
Fight for the ideals and character of a free people.
Fight for our children’s future.
Fight for justice and opportunity for all.
Stand up to defend our country from its enemies.
Stand up for each other; for beautiful, blessed, bountiful America.
Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight. Nothing is inevitable here. We’re Americans, and we never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history.
Thank you, and God Bless you.”
Yes, John McCain, it is time to take the fight to Obama. You have one more debate to show your emotion and to show the American people you really care. Take the fight to Obama about his past, talk about the economy, tell us we have to stop spending money we do not have, yell at us, if you have to, that we need to save more. Look at the camera and speak directly to us. Let us know you care. Show, not only the world, but Barack Obama that you should be our leader for the next four years.
