I am a big Hillary Clinton supporter and still believe her political platform and experience is stronger than Obama’s. I stood outside my local polling place for almost 6 hours total wearing a Team Hillary t-shirt, Hillary 2008 hat, and holding a Hillary for President campaign sign. It was an interesting day. I received a lot of thumps up and even a few glares. When the results came in that night, Hillary had lost North Carolina big time and barely won Indiana.
I admire the fighter in Hillary, but both she and the campaign have got to realize it is over. There is no way she can win the nomination. What is she up to? Well, I have a feeling she will hang in for the West Virginia and Kentucky primaries and then she will graciously bow out. Since her campaign is so much in debt, I would not be surprised if a back room deal is made with Obama to have his campaign pay off her debt if she leaves the race. Also, I still believe Obama will ask Clinton to be his Vice President nominee so he can win the big states like Ohio and Florida against McCain. Would she accept the offer? We will see.
Obama has found his voice and footing and there is no stopping his campaign now. Does that mean I will support him? I don’t know. It is going to be interesting to see Obama debate McCain. After I see these debates, I will make my decision and so should the rest of the country.
