Disney’s A Christmas Carol Train Tour came to Spencer, NC on October 9th and 10th and we got a chance to see it. My boys and I arrived in Spencer on rainy Saturday morning around 11:00 am. The train was parks in front of the North Carolina Transportation Museum in downtown Spencer.

When I talked with mom at the hospital, I asked her about flowers.  She agreed that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Livestrong Foundation.

It’s 3:47 am and I just got home.  My dad, Patrick Michael Gallagher, passed away Tuesday night at 11:35 pm at Duke hospital.  He was only 65-years-old.  Dad was admitted this morning after his left lung had collapsed.  From what I understand, this was caused by a growing tumor in the lung which caused the [...]

I just got a phone call this morning from my sister that my dad has been admitted to Duke because his back had been hurting him the past few days. I just now got another phone call that dad’s left lung has collapsed on account of fluid building up from possiblepneumonia. The cancer treatment makes his immune system really weak.
